Joshua Greenwald, MD, is a Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon specializing in cosmetic surgery of the body, breast and face. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is an active member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). Dr. Greenwald specializes in all aspects of facial rejuvenation and body contouring procedures including brow lift, upper and lower lid blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), face/neck lift (rhytidectomy), rhinoplasty, chin augmentation, laser resurfacing, Botox® and fillers, liposuction, abdominoplasty, inner thigh lift, brachioplasty, lower body lift surgery (belt lipectomy), breast surgery including breast reconstruction, breast augmentation with saline and silicone gel implants, breast reduction, breast lift and post-bariatric surgery.
BIOGRAPHY
Joshua A. Greenwald, MD grew up in Miami, Florida. While in high school in Miami, he was an all-American water polo player. In 1991, he earned his degree from Columbia University where he competed on the swimming and water polo teams. He was a member of the 1988-89 Eastern Intercollegiate Swimming League championship team.
Dr. Greenwald graduated from the New York University Medical School in 1995. He remained at NYU for his general surgery training. During this time, he completed a two year fellowship at the NYU Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery. His area of interest was gene therapy of craniofacial abnormalities. Dr. Greenwald received numerous awards for his research contributions. He has published more than thirty peer-reviewed journal articles.
Dr. Greenwald was accepted into an extremely competitive fellowship in Plastic Surgery at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. The Division of Plastic Surgery at Emory is nationally recognized as one of the top training programs in the country.
With over 13 years of education and training since his undergraduate degree, Dr. Greenwald is highly skilled in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. He is associated with Cosmetic Surgery Associates of Westchester, a practice serving Westchester County, Putnam County and Manhattan for more than 25 years.
